Has anyone else noticed that the majority of headlines surrounding Heir Bush's veto of the "Supplementary Funding Bill"?
The "liberal" media is almost unanimous is calling it a "troop pull-out" or "withdrawal bill" when in fact it is the latest supplementary
funding bill for the war in Iraq (the monetary costs of which is being kept out of the official budget) that included a tentative pullout timetable as
a condition of the funding.
Even here on ATS it's been given that moniker:
Bush vetoes troop withdrawal bill with some
members correctly referring to it as a defense appropriations bill.
I heard the revised bill actually removed all of the "pork" that made headlines a few weeks ago and gave Bush everything he asked for and even
more money and resources than requested. So now the troops won't get the funding they need (support the troops anyone?). Does the war stop
when the money runs out?
The media went along with the White House "spin" and turned a funding bill into a "pull-out" bill thus supporting the Bush administration's
political point of view on the matter. Hardly seems impartial does it?
Damn that elite liberal media, eh?
