I have to admit, it looks to me like one of Billy's also. You can find one very similar [if not exactly the same] on this page. The "UFO" is clearly in front of the tree to the left of the shot.

There is a good page discussing the fake pictures here, and another which includes a model by ATS's very own Jeff Ritzmann here.

Reconstructions of Billy's photos can be found here, here, and here.

I don't see any point in discussing the pictures any further on this thread, as there is already a large thread on ATS which is serving exactly that purpose:

Ooops, I stand corrected on both being wrong and helping derail the thread... Sorry Imp!

That's alright Dae it's a pointless thread anyway, of course these letters aren't real. I can't believe I entertained the notion that they could be. I should know by now, anything that makes me say:" Oh wow!" is fake.

I mean, seriously? Is anyone expected to fall for this? This stinks more than... well, pickled tuna... which unfortunately is Swedish tradition.

Oh lol! the days before photoshop. He didn't even bother to correct the focus

I think that Billy Meier is a member here. If that is him, I'm not surprised he's so quiet.

The Letters are obvious fakes but im glad I read this topic because it was the first time I seen the dino pics and they definately gave me a good laugh.

Also I noticed that billys pic of the dino has been tampered with to make it look slighty different from the painting, which would suggest to me that he tampers with all his other pics too to make them harder to recreate.

I'm not sure how to go about defining degrees of fake. I mean, you have real, fake, and then what? More fake? Anyway, those were a few examples cherry picked at random from the thread that deals with Billy Meier's fake pictures. I even included a link to said thread, so if you click that, and take a look around, you'll find more examples, some better, some worse, all IMO fake.

O come on man, this guy has been debunked so many times its not even funny... are you not familiar with the proof that he used a trashcan lid to make one of his ufos? He then made up some bogus story about how the trashcan company had stolen the UFO blueprints and designed their trashcan based on it. Also one time he claimed to have taken a picture of one of these aliens from a screen on their spaceship, the picture turned out to be a dancer from the Dean Martin show or something... he later claimed that the MIB had set him up and the dancer was a clone of the alien or some sillynesss. Lol, theres a bunch more ridiculous tidbits like that. The guy is a fraud and its pathetic to buy into anything he says.

This lid? Yeah, actually it's a grain bin lid, but whatever, close enough. However, I was trying not to focus on the pictures. There's already a thread in existence dealing with the pictures.

Now, I've admitted that I know little about Billy Meier, however, I'm learning more and more. Obviously, the fact that his pictures appear to be fake don't cast a good light on anything he has to say, however I don't think it's enough to say, "Well, his pictures are fake, therefore everything he says must be fake". That would be like someone thinking that because I was wrong once, it goes to follow that every word I utter must be wrong.

This is why proof is always valued much higher than opinion.

O yup,, its much more logical and safe to believe or suggest it may be possible that an alleged prophetic letter written by a known fraud and liar who has profited greatly from people like you saying "well just cause he lied 9000 times doesn't mean this pic/text/video is a lie too!" posted on the internet in the last few years by one of Billy's financial partners, with an unproven claim it was written 50 years ago.. yup!

Not to mention I'm sure all the predictions are typically vague if by chance they were actually written before things occured: hey theres gonna be more hurricanes and earthquakes and theres gonna be a tsunami in asia and some wars.. all in the next 50 years. "OMG he was right!"

Hey man, I predicted 9/11 on sept 10th.. and I have an image of where I wrote it down the prove it. Check it out!:

If you send me $20 you can buy my newsletter which has future predictions!

"I urge you to give it a read, and share your thoughts. I'm not saying that it is extraterrestrial in origin, but it cannot be denied, that if written in 1951, it's certainly a prophetic piece of work indeed."

I shared my thoughts, yet you are complaining, guess you can't take the heat? Posting links and spreading stuff from known hoaxers does nothing but waste our time and spread disinfo to people who aren't familiar with how many times the guy has been debunked.

Sure, if it were something as mundane as having the incorrect time by a couple of minutes. In Billy's case, its like being off by a matter of a couple of months; repeatedly.

Just one goofy photo is an entry in the funny pages......multiple examples, over a long time frame, of hilariously bogus output....has painted the entire catalog of work as bogus. And its not unfair.

Can't argue with you, you're right and we both know that you're right. I asked how long these letters had been available, and got a speedy response. In light of that alone, they are not worth much more attention. However, I would hate to think, that because of my prejudice against someone, for whatever reasons, I might overlook something that could prove to be truly interesting. Fair enough, isn't it?

Now, if all this is fake, and it certainly looks that way, then what would be the motivation behind it?

Is he looking for money? Fame? Is he trying to be the head of some sort of cult?

Sure, there is that possibility. That's why I, and probably other skeptics, visit threads here on ATS when the content is being contested. We're often asked, "if you don't believe it, why do you keep coming here?"....'cause, someday the poster may actually post something really astonishing.

However, in this case.....the crapola outweighs even the simple entertainment factor enough that it becomes fluff and comedic.

Edit: Almost overlooked the motive aspect. Uh......who knows? Extremes of reasoning and behaviors produce many odd activities....I don't understand why people bungee jump from bridges.....its incomprehensible to me. Billy Meier falls into that category by my judgment; incomprehensible.

Guess what? I'm one of those people who are aren't familiar.

If you feel it's a waste of your precious time, don't post. No one asked you to.

Seems to me you've only repeated what others have said parrot fashion. The only thing you've added to the thread is a stinking attitude.

Hear hear Implosion.

Nothing wrong with asking questions, that's what the forum is about. As for the letter, the information. Who really knows, I mean obviously the papers haven't been on the net since 51..so nothing can really be proven unless FIGU or the likes manages to scan the original, get a set of independent researches to test the material of the original or something.

Ultimately I feel the Billy case is one of those where most go either black or white, it's either all BS or it's all true.

Personally I don't know, I'm leaning more to not true than true, I don't really care because it adds nothing new to the table. It's an interesting story if nothing else. I find no joy in talking smack about it or the people who leans (or stands firmly) in the 'true camp'. To me it's just pointless.

About the image talked about here being a faked one versus billys "real" one..I don't get that.. the image talked about (the supposed fake) comes straight of theyfly which is the official home.

Anyways. Off to bed.
