It just seems things are going from bad to worse. I have no idea how this is going to turn out. My opinion is both sides need to seek some kind of compromise over this.

Russia is not a member state of NATO.

They may be pulling out of a treaty, but they've never been a NATO member which the title of this thread implies.

Theyre not a full member but they have had a relationship with NATO since Yeltsin. The title is the same title as the one on the news story.

I couldnt find anything there about the withdrawal from the NATO treaty. This is a new development in the NATO/Russia relationship. It is tied to the Missile sites but there are numerous other threads dealing with various other developments on this issue. This is different from your thread.

Russia has never been and will never be a member of NATO. The Lateline has chosen a strange headline for this story, imo.
