McCain Announces Bid for President

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Republican White House hopeful John McCain plans to announce his candidacy for the 2008 presidential race in New Hampshire on Wednesday.

McCain, 70, if elected, would enter the White House as the oldest first-term president.

"I'm not the youngest candidate. But I am the most experienced," McCain said in excerpts of prepared remarks released by his campaign ahead of the announcement. "I know how to work with leaders who share our dreams of a freer, safer and more prosperous world, and how to stand up to those who don't. I know how to fight and how to make peace. I know who I am and what I want to do."

McCain and his team simply doesn't have the political smarts to get elected. Throw in McCain ties to the war in Iraq and his chances look slim at the present time.

Yeah, Im pretty sure he wont get the office, but I wonder if the GOP felt they needed another voice and decided to push him in the race. They know he wont win.
