I wouldn't help cops catch a DAMN thing, not even AIDS.

No, you WAKE up. Everybody doesn't love Johnny Law.

No, you WAKE up. It doesn't matter if you 'love Johny Law' or not.
It matters that innocent people would be slaughtered. Who you 'like'
or don't like doesn't matter .. innocent life matters.

:shk: Seriously truthseeka .. man, you can't see that?
You'd let your 'attitude' get in the way of saving innocent people?
If so, that's both sad and disgusting.

I hadn't thought of that. I suppose he could sue Al Sharpton as well.
I don't think he'd have nearly as good of a law suit against Sharpton
as he would against CBS and MSNBC.

BTW .. ya'll .. I'm still glad he's off the air. He was vile. IMHO

I absolutely agree! Imus is not quite the teddy bear type.

As far as this lawyer business goes, what does he hope to accomplish? I think he's just after a big settlement. I'd be shocked if he were to get his gig back. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he started doing the speaking circuit.

He'll probably take the settlement and spend a lot more time at the Imus Ranch. He's already got a ton of money - I can't see him doing anything too strenuous.

Well, well, well....

More details of Imus's contract with CBS are coming to light. Apparently he was supposed to be edgy, controversial, etc. and CBS was obligated to give him a written warning about a type of comment before they could terminate the contract for such a comment.

Sounds like CBS might have to at least pay Imus the $40 million left in his contract, and possibily additional punative charges for breaking it.

Thank you dj!

Imus had a legal contract with CBS. They seem to have broken the contract by firing him for what they paid him to do without warning. Additionally, they had delay buttons. If they thought his comments were out of bounds, they could have edited them. It was only after public pressure that CBS decided his comments went too far.

Attorney Martin Garbus told ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" that CBS Radio and MSNBC had delay buttons but didn't use them when Imus made racist and sexist comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team last month.

"That means CBS and MSNBC both knew the language that was going out, and both knew the language complied with (Imus') contract. ... It was consistent with many of the things he had done," Garbus said.
