Hmm, report says its been there for some time..

Strange, ghost ships are happening a bit as of late.

In September last year, the schooner Bel Amica was found drifting off the Italian coast with a half eaten meal, charts of the Mediterranean and piles of clothes abandoned. While the owner has since been found, no satisfactory explanation of the incident has ever been recorded.

freak wave or sudden squall might have hit both boats or maybe the things from humanoids from the deep .

What are the theories being bandied about Chop? You hearing anything where you are?

This is very strange. Let me try and find something on this.

Pirates a problem down there? Though you would think if they were being pirated, the boats would have been taken, no?

Freak waves are kinda counter intuitive things to explain these disapearances when the primary discriptions about the incidents entail "plates with food on the table" and "no damage to the boat"

The food on table thing would make one suspect that the crew was most likely on the inside of the boat getting ready to eat, so thats rather weird for a wave to suck the people out of the inside of the boat.

Not to mention the food on the tables would most likely be not on the table anymore after a strong wave that could hit everyone of deck (if they were on deck, which is unlikely that all of them were if there was food on the table, scooped out onto the plates, ready to eat or as in this case, half eaten).

And lastly, a big wave would cause damage to the boat and make equipment on deck go missing.

Yeah, thats why I don't mention pirates when talking about this subject at all.

If it were pirates and they left the boats, they would've ransomed the people they took. Pirates take people for money and boats either to sell them or to use in their fleet.

If the people aren't ransomed and perfectly pristine boats are left behind, the pirate motives are completely removed.

Well, if this was indeed pirates work, they'd have stripped that boat for anything they could sell. Not only that, as far as I know, pirates usually sink the boats after stripping them for their valuables. (As long the size of the boat permits it in a hasty fashion.) Less proof of their crime.

But it's strange that two boats so recently have been found adrift.
