Rehnquist: Congress Should Have Sought Judiciary's Advice - Foxnews.com

The scariest part of the Feeny amendment is that "it reduces federal judges' discretion in sentencing criminals, and requires reports to Congress on any judge who departs from sentencing guidelines."

Ashcroft is collecting information on judges that depart from his his extremist ideals. It is amazing how The Patriot Act sailed through congress and got signed into law. It is even more amazing that people in this country either don't have a clue or don't give a rat's ass.

I know this isn't new stuff to most of you, but it drives me nuts that a major news source like Foxnews can publish a story like this and STILL the general public has no clue about any of this or the implications.
