I have an e-book with Einstein quotes in and this one is indeed in it.
I've been wondering if I should change the quote in my signature, I think this one would be pretty good.
There are loads and loads of quotes around... Einstein said this, Einstein said that...
Einstein was a genius but he was also a human who had emotions and flaws just like everyone else...
Having said that here are a few of my most favourite non science based Einstein quotes.
"Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love."
"The hardest thing in the world to understand is the income tax."
"I am convinced that He (God) does not play dice."
"Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing."
(Sch'n-word' Sch'n-word'
had Einstein visited a lady of the night??)
"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."
"The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources."
"The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education."
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."
"The release of atom power has changed everything except our way of thinking...the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind. If only I
had known, I should have become a watchmaker."
I can go on....
But I won't unless asked
As to the bees, I very much doubt Einstein would have said such a thing, though if I'm honest I would say I can't give a definitive answer. I've
been in the field of physics for some 15 years now and I've not heard of the quote before recent days.
I maybe wrong but It certainly doesn't sound like the sort of thing Einstein would have said.
Not only does this statement show a defeatist attitude,
(something Einstein did not aspire to), but also shows a lack of understanding about
how natures works.
Although if we were to suddenly loose our bees... there would indeed be a noticeable decrease in crop yield, however there
are other
pollinators that would be sufficient to keep the food chain intact.
Besides... we are moving away from natural growth as a source of food.

Would you eat lab-grown meat?
For those that don't know about pollination, you may read the following.
Pollination
Anyway..
All the best,
