If mass =gravity than why is the moon 1/4 the size of earth, (made of the same stuff silicon), yet still it only has 1/6th the gravity??? (density???)

Because Earth consists of a sizable iron core that the moon (composed largely of lighter, crustal material) does not have. Heaviest elements sink to the center so when the moon was formed from the Earth's crust (via impact), most of the heaviest elements had already sunken to the core and were not available for lunar assembly. I am sure you can find this information in all sort of places so I am not sure why you are posting this question here.

Anon has some terms mixed up. You cannot determine mass simply from knowing volume. You'd be missing density in your calculation of mass. Picture a helium filled balloon the same size as a granite sphere.

Also the eqn for gravity would be:

F=(G*m1*m2)/d^2
