I think the fact that he was 76 and did something about it, and this,

This guy had a very good heart to protect those people, thats for sure. I just don't understand why no other students on such a large campus did not have any of their own firearms to bring the man down. This is why Every citizen should own a firearm, to stop madman like this.

This was most definetly an act of terrorism. I think he did a good job of murdering civilians and terrorizing the student body, that counts as terrorism in my book. If the man had been arrested alive he shoulda been tried for terror. How can you not call a mass murderer a terrorist? Maybe this will help:

Terror- panic: an overwhelming feeling of fear and anxiety
a person who inspires fear or dread; "he was the terror of the neighborhood"

-ist is an English suffix denoting a person - it describes that person's chief duty, or belief.

Why? I suggest you read "Hasidic Tales of the Holocaust" compiled by Yaffa Eliach to answer that question. It is hands down one of the most moving and profound books I have ever read, and personally I am not sure that I have the strength to ever re-read it, at the same time I cannot dispose of it either. It touched my soul in ways that few things have. BTW I am not Jewish.

If we try to live Liviu Librescu's example he will not have died in vain.

That doesn't mean wearing his type of clothes, or being a certain nationality, or having celebrity status, it means doing the right thing and damn the consequences.

Let's all learn from the example he set.

You don't have to be a member of a terrorist group to be a terrorist. He's definately a terrorist.

Do you think people who strap bombs to themselves are sane?? All terrorists are whacked in the head.

Which is the sad truth.

The BBC reported a girl (student) who did the same thing. The guy came into their room, shot a few of them and left. They slammed the door and he treid to get back in. She did what this man did. Where is her story?

This man was brave, what he did is worth credit. However it is very unfair to focus only on him and none of the others.

There are MANY more important news stories to be focusing on as a nation, than a high school shooting. I know that sounds appauling, but emotionally sensitive stories like this are promoted in order to detract away from something else thats happening..

If i were a US citizen, i would be far more concerned with my countries economy right now!

I'm sorry, this could have been any of us or our children. To say that just
By the way it was a College shooting not high school. I'd ask people to keep an eye on you. Are you a loner?
Do you even care about life?
The economy is great, but the VT college is mourning and me to.

It matters because long ago he faced immense horror and lived where millions didn't survive. Now he has given his life so that others may live. To me that is inspiring to say the least. He made a choice to do that after all he had been through in his life. After everything he had seen and done in all of his 76 years on earth and he chose to give his life. Thats why it matters.
