Malin Space System is a contractor for NASA with exclusive rights to the Mars Global Surveyor images

Those don't look like photographs but computer generated images.

Then I suggest you go and learn what photographs look like Those are real photos

Now anyone who has been around ATS know that I am one of the biggest anomaly hunters out there... but in the case of this "face" I would definitely side with the skeptics. (Okay ArMaP you can close your mouth now )

That one actually never impressed me anyway and with that high res image from Malin it is very easy to see it for what it really is... an ISLAND

The collapsed dome is interesting, as it is not a normal collapse for a volcano and there is no crater or any other indicator that it was a volcano, so it does seem to indicate the mountain was hollow and it caved in (Look at Mt St Helen... that one exploded sending debris all over the country, leaving a big gash in the side.

There is no field of debris

However if you forget the silly face for a minute and look at the whole picture, you can clearly make out the old shoreline... You can also clearly see the continental shelf... and the rays of silt radiating outward from the island all around.

We have seen many images that Mars had a lot of water... this shows that it was once very deep around the island {based on the dimensions given for this feature...

Now as to NASA lying to you.... LOL well they are at the very least "playing their audience" because there are different facts at many different levels. How much you get to know depends on how much you are willing to actually research...

Did you know how close they are to a Warp Drive? Bet you didn't know they were working on it!

NASA also love to tease the Lemmings with cute names like "Blueberries" and "Roosevelt" for this other face on Mars below...

NASA will play us all until we can get our own ship to have a look... and at that point we will probably run right smack into Space Command's Secret fleet that will stop us in a jiffy

But the "Face" is an ISLAND

In my opinion of course

I can definatly see an island. And acually, that makes more sence than anything ive heard so far. Now keep in mind, its from the picture, and who knows whats been done to it.... its 3d, so its very easy to make "mistakes" or edit things before release.
