I have chronic pain, I have asked my Physician about Merinol (THC in a pill form) but the Canadian government would not approve such a request at this time unless you have cancer.
I will tell you that pot butter made into individual cupcakes is much more effective on pain then smoking.
I was on the antisiezure meds gabapentin (but I did not like them although they work well)
I am on Tramacet currently....
Oxycoton is good too...but addictive...Tramacet is not addictive.
the brownies are delicious.

Thanks JungleLord, I do eat it every now and again. But I do enjoy a smoke too. An excellent way of preparing it to eat is to dry it out thorughly in a cool environment and grind it into a fine powder. Mix olive oil with it until its a thick paste and zap it in the microwave in 10 second bursts until it smells really hashy and you get a little curl of smoke. It is now hydroxylated, so it will be orally active. All you do is let it cool and wrap little lumps in cling film / saran wrap into pill shapes and put them in the freezer. When you want one you just take one out, unwrap it and take it like a pill.

I don't think pot should be legal. Most of the big pot endorsing celebrities end up dying of brain cancer and I think that says something about how "safe" it is.

Really, Like who? I've never heard of pot being linked to brain cancer.

The three largest human cannabis studies to date, also revealed that heavy long term cannabis users scored slightly higher on IQ tests, had slightly lower rates of illness and cancer, and lived longer on average than non-users. Users also proved to be more relaxed and sociable than non-users. The best evidence indicates, contrary to Government Media disinformation, that cannabis is safe and good for you.

Damn! I've been using the fact that I took my IQ tests while high as a kite to claim an extra 10%. Oh well, I still beat Bill Clinton! Seriously though, there are convincing models of brain chemistry involving cannabinoids as the fundamental neurotransmitters. This has been raised to support the evident improvement in function that multiple sclerosis sufferers experience.

My Lord...

This thread is a great way to start a pro-pot discussion.
Just open by talking about hemp, let the stoners take over.

Jesus.

Mods ?? Do you read these threads, at all ?

Pathetic.

This thread is in the disinfo forum, Lexion. Perhaps you think that the case is closed on "pot" and that all the official information is accurate, in which case you are welcome to your opinion. Some others have different views. I personally believe that talking about a boafide conspiracy, that of making and keeping cannabis illegal even for medicinal users, surely warrants discussion on a site such as ATS.

So much so, that it warrants T&C violations ?

Oh wait...you break the law in RL, why not here...

Unfortunately I am forced to break the law constantly. I do have the very real backing of one of the top pain specialists in the country if I do ever have a run in with the police over it though, as he is also of the opinion that I shouldn't be denied medication when there is nothing that he can offer that is half as effective. Actually I have river police going past where I am all day every day, and they have been absolutely fine now they know my situation. It seems they do at least exercise discretion.

I wasn't actually aware that admitting this was in contravention of the T&Cs. I will make sure to lie in future.

If any mods would like to delete any of my threads mentioning this subject, please feel free.

Alright, that's enough of the drug talk.

2e.) Illegal Activity: Discussion of any illegal activities such as drug use, drug paraphernalia, hacking, sexual relations with minors, etc. are strictly forbidden.

There's tons of subject at ATS and this doesn't need to be one of them.
