A chilling new message from Osama bin Laden is being circulated among British Islamic extremists, calling for attacks on civilians and describing the
'Islamic nation' as 'eager for martyrdom'.
Details of the 4,000-word letter from the terrorist leader emerged as the British Government issued its strongest warning yet last night that attacks
by bin Laden's al-Qaeda organisation on the UK are 'inevitable'.

Here is the link to the letter.

That letter is ridiculous. They want to ëbring us to Islam.í (is bin laden loony - my wife can't even get me to go to mass - lol)Quite a long letter
also. Here are some of my other favorite parts:
(2) The second thing we call you to, is to stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you.
(a) We call you to be a people of manners, principles, honour, and purity; to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants,
gambling's, and trading with interest.

These prohibitions are written in the Quran. These ideas aren't so bad. What is bad is their vision to how to reach them.

having read that from start to finish,
if he demonstrated in a peacefull and political manner......
and if I ignore a few of the more vehement religious state, ments such as not selling alchehol......
I think I could probably agree with about 90% of that.
its a shame he's a deranged lunatic because what he's actually saying about the west is pretty damn acurate, not to mention embaressing when we look
at Mr Bush's speach writing ability.

But it oversimplifies a very complex situation, you cannot simply give one motive for the actions of many.

Absolutely not, and its obviously partially an antisemetic rant but the stuff about economic terrorism, crippling smaller countrys, funding wars
etc.
we are amazingly irresponsible, economically devoid of morals.....in fact #, If I had to name the one single greatest cause of mass wide spread evil
and destruction It would have to be western capitalism.

Well we can either live in a western society or a place like Afghanistan.I do not know how they can justify living under a system like the Taliban? And
they call us evil.

The taliban was a dictatorship, and, frankly, one that we created.
also people can't choose where they live especially in poorer countrys, nor can they rise up against their leaders like we seem to want them to
do.
we created the poverty in these countrys and like sweat shops in china, we use their poverty to maintain our own afluence.
Its not a nice thing, but frankly our freedom and wealth does have blood sweat and toil of people with no freedom and wealth all over it.
its just one of the things you have to come to terms with morally if you want to live in a "nice" country like britain or america

your thinking in stereotypes.
look. do your newspapers views represent you?
is George Bush your mouth piece?
Is the Christian church's views exactly in line with your own?
if the answer is yes then your in a minority.
most people who live in a country don't spend all that much time considering holy war, they usually worry about their jobs, their familys, what
they're cooking for dinner, whether to buy a new TV
I'm so sick of coming in here and hearing that the people of Iraq want to eat our babies or the people of afghanistan want to fly planes into our
buildings.
they dont.
hell, if you think they do why on earth did you bother liberating them from the taliban?
Peoples lives are not theological doctrines

I try to take religion out of the picture as much as possible.
And the people of Afghanistan did not fly planes into the WTC,terrorists that happen to live there did. With the blessing of the Afghan
government.(taliban)
And it is not our job make sure they have food or jobs or t.v. That is job of their governments. It is not the fault of the Westwrn World that their
Kings,Shieks,Dictators and the rest of their leaders don't really give a crap about their people.

That depends on your perspective.
for example I recently had the oppertunity to buy a council flat very very cheeply on account of my partner having lived there for several years.
we could have purchased the flat for around £11,000 however because of house prices in our area we could have easily sold it again for £75,000
quite a tidy profit.
however in doing so we would have taken another council (government subsidised) house off the market making it even harder for less afluent people in
our area to find a decent house.
It can be argued that its not our responsibility to ensure people have cheep housing, its the governments, our perspective however is that in order to
live in a happy safe friendly and economically viable society it is ~everyones~ responsibility.
especially people like us who are affluent enough not to need a leg up, but can provide one ourselves.
Now transfer that philosophy to a global economy.

I don't think I was clear in my last post,my fault.
It is the governments job to provide the oppurtunity to have homes, t.v's etc.
But you can't transfer it to a global economy.Since these other governments are not allowing the oppurtunity. They keep them impoverished and
uneducated. Then they point their fingers at the rest of the world because we live a good life. They blame us for their problems.

I don't believe OBL had anything to do with the letter.
It could either have been written by a fanatic hoaxer(who thought his words would be listened to if he signed it OBL)or the US gov(who need to take
every oppotunity to show how much danger we're all in to get support for they're Perpetual War.)
