Here is a video of some guy trying to get the astronauts to swear on the bible that they walked on the moon. Not a single one would do it. That kinda has to make you think a little. Granted this guy is obnoxious as hell but still, alot could be put to rest if they just did it.

I remember seeing this awhile ago, and I do have alot of questions about the official facts regarding many moon landing. I will play the devil's advocate and say if I was them I would'nt want to swear on the bible for two reasons !) I think it would give more fuel to the fire of moon landing skeptics, 2) If I am an astronaut I would not want to lower my self down to the point where I have to swear on the bible to be believed that I went to the moon.

That guy deserved to get KOed, he’s obnoxious and insulting. Chances are that if they did swear on the Bible that they walked on the moon, the guy would ask them how they can lie after swearing on the Bible

Turn of the sound and carefuly watch the faces of the "astronauts"...don't they look like crooks? I always laugh when I see any interview with them, anywhere. Always trying to keep cool faces...hehe. It is the best comedy for me

Sibrel has been stalking them through the years trying to get them to admit they never went to the moon. He's used false identities to get close to them, and finally cornered Buzz Aldrin at lunch with his niece, and hassled him until Aldrin punched him. The problem is that most of his arguments about us never landing there are a complete joke that have been explained over and over again.

- If the astronauts swore on the bible, then the 'some guy' would just turn around and blast them for lieing while placing their hand on the bible.

- The astronauts probably figured the 'some guy' was a kook. They'd probably be right.

- The astronauts are celebrities and have to be careful - remember Rebecca Shaeffer (of My Sister Sam)??

- NASA handles all public relations. These Astronauts are part of an organization and they follow those rules. Even retired astronauts.

- MANY people will not 'swear on the bible'. Either they don't believe in the bible OR they believe in it and won't swear to God, or swear on the bible, because - the BIBLE ITSELF says not to do that.

This - refusal to swear on the bible - is nothing.

Speculation.

Probably.

You are correct they do, but Rebecca Shaeffer also recieved hundreds of threating letters from the man who eventually killed her. So I would catagorize them separately in comparsion.

Not sure what that has to do with swearing on the bible that you walked on the moon.

If that is the case then why must one swear on a bible before tesifying in any US court of law?

This - refusal to swear on the bible - is nothing.

I disagree.

Swearing on the bible in a court of law is covered under “render unto Caesar, what is Caesars”. This is the only time most Christians will ever swear an oath.

Jam 5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

As to the rest, it has been discussed on this site many times over. This guy was a stalker, he was harassing people, and using false pretences to get close to them in order to harass them. Under these circumstances, no reasonable person would sit and talk with the man, and the astronauts could not be blamed for getting upset with him. So, until this subject comes up again in two weeks, I’ll return you to your regularly broadcast conspiracy theory…

look, if i was an astronaut well in his sixties, a former hero, went to to the moon and back, i would be very insulted if somebody came up to me and asked me to swear on a bible...

i mean, chances are that they DID go to the moon. maybe not all of them, maybe there were secret missions.... all of this is possible.

hey, i would punch the guy in the face too, if he was harassing me like that.

thats not the right way to get answers.

no respect at all... shame.

Not former hero...living, breathing, always will be a hero, type hero. These so called theories have been debunked so many times over the years, that the naysayers are beginning to sound somewhat pathetic. Especially this particular character. He's a stalker, and needs serious help.

The astronauts of Gemini, and Apollo; I'm a trifle young to remember the Mercury program, these guys were the heroes of my childhood that I admired, and wanted to emulate even more than any baseball player or athlete. Not just the Americans, either; the Soviet cosmonauts were totally cool too. When I was a kid, I couldn't get enough of the Space Program. Too bad Al Gore hadn't invented the Internet yet
(sorry, I couldn't resist
).

All the astronauts need to do is give me a call, I'll punch that guy right in the nose for 'em. AAAARGH!

We'll know soon enough.. I've got Neil Armstrong tied up in my basement and rigged up to a car battery! For a 200 year old fart he puts up one hell of a fight! He'll break soon enough and when he does we'll finally know. Just kiddin but that does seem like it might work.

You are not required to swear on a bible in court. A simple request to not use a bible will (should) be respected by any judge.
