ATS Can't Earn them fast enough!?

How can I earn ATS points fast. I always get good threads. I have one right now in religious beliefs with 403 views and 34 replies and it keeps going higher. It takes really long to go higher. Can anyone help me?

You are not your post count
You are not your view level

Points are a novelty item, if you go randomly starting things in pursuit of huge numbers then people will quickly latch on and get annoyed.

If you truly want to be a contributing member you should post good things and treat others well, you could also help in research projects etc.

Now you're just being silly.

No i'm not, anyone will tell you that content is respected on ATS, not points.

I'm sure seekerof will lecture you on this shortly

nerdling has a point, but I can understand the need for points to start with , if only to get that access to RATS. and the extra upload space is really handy when you have the points for it

You earn points on ATS like you earn ANYTHING, you WORK for it...

Keep posting and replying and in time you will have what you seek. REMEMBER though, B.S. will COST you points. That's my favourite part of the "points system" though... I like the fact that if you simply troll/spam for points you lose them...

Anyway, just keep on keepin' on and before you know it you'll be LOADED like Masked Avatar!

I need to say nothing Nerdling....you have stated it well.
Points are of a necessity for different things, but as Nerdling mentioned, they do not constitute 'a' quality poster, etc.
I will only comment this: ( and this will certainly be different for everyone...we do all come here for varying reasons)
Don't let points become an obsession...let ATS and becoming 'a' quality poster or commentor become 'the' obsession. Points will come over time....enjoy the conversation and the varied views, opinions, beliefs, etc.
ATS represents a diverse group of intelligent people...we should all strive to become one and apart.

I agree points 'shouldnt' be the issue or driving force,

but

new members see the store, the access to rats, and therin lies the carrot.

It is only after access, and the store, that points become less and less a thought when posting.

But at first, that is what it is all about.

Well Nerdling, be assured, I did not mean for it to be a "lecture" (sarcasm)

I will put forth this also.....if there was a 'way', I would gladly donate or give up my points. If I had one wish on ATS, this would probably be the feature or ability I would gladly take.

Nah, i didnt treat it like a lecture and i'm rather thankful for it now.

You could ask William to give all your points away in some kind of lucky raffle for new members!

Many times I have railed against the points system, it's well documented in the archives... BUT after seeing some of the posts I've seen tonight I am starting to think that maybe we need to INCREASE the limits...
