Looking for more.
FreeRepublic broke Bush in Iraq for Thanksgiving before any other sources.
Will edit with additional info.

On down in the thread it is stated "this is happening several times a day with flights from France and Mexico", so this may be temporary SOP.

Flight 68 is supposed to land at 6:05pm local time. If they were really serious, they would be shadowing the flight from the time it entered NORAD airspace over Canada.

So that should have been 10 minutes ago. Can some one check something to see if it landed as scheduled?

Yeah i found that rather weird, however i shall be adding this to my New years post as a possible threat.

So, whats the procedure in a time like this?

So F16s are escorting Air France flights now? Or just certain ones? That's what I think I'm picking up from the little info I can find on this...
Screw the "I'm paranoid" thing, if that's true, this is interesting again.

*puts sleuthing cap on*

Its rather weird, its also a bit of a slap in the face to run around with loaded guns next to nations flag carrier, if you did that with British Airways a whole new level of hell would be brought upon the USA by the foreign office.

So, it seems France must be rather scared too, i wonder what the evidence is!

Any info on why this plane was being followed or did I miss something?

Still trying to piece together sketchy details, but...
apparently over the last few days it's become "routine" to shadow certain (or all) Air France flights in US airspace.
I can't find anything corroborating on other sites, but someone who picked up on the NORAD scanner-talk said this has been happening since the Xmas eve incident.

Banshee, I never heard of that site before, is it accurate at all? Looks like a general post on a forum to me, which would mean the credibility would be greatly diminished?

Depends.
It gets a bad rep because it's a conservative site.
I don't care if it's conservative, liberal, or anarchist; it's a site I like to check out because it's a bunch of people who often have sources outside the mainstream media (much like ATS...) These guys reported Bush being in Iraq for Thanksgiving hours before any news source even knew about it. I know, that's not really a big deal, but a scoop is a scoop.

Banshee,

Don't know if you caught it, but this Air France flight was number 68, which was one of the flight numbers detained last week.

Maybe the reports that they have specific flight numbers really do have some meat to them, huh?
