Area 51 (Longest Runway in the World)

Touche John Perhaps my use of the term "cutting edge" was inappropriate. Certainly the most high tech designs aren't tested at Area 51 anymore.

Out of curiosity, what are the latest and greatest "aircraft" called, if not aircraft? I'm not up-to-date on my pilot lingo!

It was a typo. I am new, but I pobably should read all of the way through.

Pretty soon runways will be useless anyway we have planes that take off vertically. We can land them using that hook thing that hooks onto that rubber cord and stops the plane from over shooting like they do on carriers.

Area 51 has the 2nd longest runway. The airport that has the longest runway is Edwards Air Force Base that has the runway of 39600 feet. here's a list.
