This is an interesting article.

As the U.S. media was too patriotic, the French media was too confrontational. The article actually says that the French coverage amounted to "disinformation." Interesting.

I remember the BBC saying that the U.S. media "could not be trusted" after the invasion of Iraq.

It seems that the media takes on the attitudes of the country. Maybe the only reliable media coverage is in neutral nations.


PARIS - Reporter Alain Hertoghe's book accused the French press of not being objective in its coverage of the U.S.-led war in Iraq. His newspaper fired him.

yeah the french newspaper LaCroix said french media's were biaised and all supported the gvmt opinions.not one newspaper was pro-US

Im very skeptical of anything I see in the media these days...and you especially have to read everything word for word because they can change things around so easily to make you think differently.

Maybe better than the obvious French media's slavish loyalty to the government line is the obvious question of why?
