Frogs rain down on Serbia

Traffic came to a halt and locals fled inside after thousands of frogs fell from the sky onto a Serbian village.

Residents in Odzaci told local daily Blic they thought the world was coming to an end.

I know this is probably explained by wind, Just seems an awful lot of Frogs.
The reasons they have always given for these type of events has always made me raise an eyebrow..
Does anyone else have any knowledge of this phenomena.

Yeah it's not uncommon. Just google "raining frogs" or something similar.

Usually happens when a typhoon/tornado picks up a bunch of critters from a swamp or lake and they stay aloft for a while, eventually raining back down.

France goes nuts over it.
