I hear ya Neiby. Both of my grand fathers wer war vets and taps was played at both their funerals. I could hardly stand up. Although, when my Grandpa Stewart past away a year ago, the Honour Gaurd that was sent wasn't WWII vets from the VFW, but were Screaming Eagles from the 101stAB
! The funeral directorsaid they were hard to get. Made me wonder what was in his military records!

Yes. This is the "still" version. Even more haunting perhaps without the digital effects. Thanks for the addition.

Fur Elise--Beethoven (no lyrics); hear it played on a Steinway if you can.

"Don't Change"

I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all direction
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark
For too long

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

I found a love I had lost
It was gone for too long
Hear no evil in all directions
Execution of bitterness
Message received loud and clear

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all directions
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark for too long

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me

I would have to say that the most haunting work I've ever heard across entire albums, is the music of Enigma.

Here is some found on YouTube...

Wow, some great stuff in here.. I need to go back through this, and do some serious listening.

Some of these have conjured up some memories of songs I've listened to in the past. Here's one I remembered. By the Michael Schenker Group.

Tales of Mystery

I agree, this is definitely a good pick

I would also say that Cat Power - Satisfaction is pretty haunting....This video doesn't really do it justice....but here goes. Also, the Acoustic Version is best....

No fair throwin' old vegetables at me for this, but here's a quite haunting rap song that comes to mind...

(Sorry, no clean version on YouTube that I could find, so be advised, the lyrics may be objectionable.)
