What would u say if i said i waz a band geeek???

Ya it;s true. I play the trumpet. But i friken rock!!! I feel dumb saying this, but i thought i would ask. Should i drop out because it is kind a gay? Or should i stay in it because i actually enjoy it?

I played for about 10 years.
The Trumpet...or B-flat Cornet.

I was pretty good..Always 1st chair, and all that..
I got to do the solos. You know, standing up, and showing off.

Then, I stopped., that was many years ago.
I wish I had NEVER stopped..

Why would you stop doing something positive that you actually enjoy?

The first thing I'd say is stop denigrating yourself with terms like "band geek". The sooner you stop allowing other people to define you, the happier you'll be. Don't concern yourself with the opinions of those you won't even know in 5 years.

Smart advice"yeahright". thaxn, i get ya. Ya, i am 1st chair too, but no solo's yet. I have been playing for 3 years now. I like it. the term band geek is more lieka comploment to me...lol i think i jst sounds cool

Hi Foxy, I used to have a friend that played both trumpet and sax', they had to give it up because of work comitments. I miss the sing-alongs we all used to have after a few to many beers!!
