airplane? meteor?

Last night I was coming home from church, and as I pulled into the driveway, I noticed a glowing red streak across the sky. It was in a downward slope, and it wasnt very long. It was about 9:00 pm, and it just stood out to me because I love astronomy and airplanes, and thought how strange it was that it stayed there so long and didnt dissipate like a meteor's trail would. If it was an airplane, why was it glowing like that? Im not saying it was a UFO or anything, im just want to know if anyone else saw it (I live in northeast PA) and if you can explain it.

If you mean an unidentified flying object, yes it was a UFO. If you mean an extraterrestrial spacecraft, no it wasn`t a UFO.

I didnt get any pics, I dont think it wouldt have worked anyway. It was the middle of the night, I dont have a camera good enough to take a picture at night.
