who honestly gives a #? she has a tattoo that looks more like a hard candy in a wrapper >< then any masonic thing Ive ever seen. and if it is masonic and not an indian peace symbol, again, who honestly gives a #? THE MASONS.....THE MASONS GAVE HER ----- GAVE HER THE ABILITY TO ACT VERY WELL..... RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!!!!!!!!! ..................and for good measure...who gives a #.

Well spotted!!!! I really would though, we haven't had a (BRITISH) sex symbol THIS fit (even at her age) since Honor Blackman... I most definitely would (as would she, I bet)!

And for further reading... you could go to Masonic Info , has a alphabetical list of famous Masons. And is Abbot doesn't count as famous... dunno who is.

Accept for the fact that it really doesn't look much like the Runic fertility falic symbol that you see in your link. If you look closely at her first picture it looks much more like two Chevrons facing opposite directions that are intermingled. [edit on 29-3-2009 by lazy1981]

Is this thread about Helen Mirren, Masons, or tattoos? Celebrity? all this arguing because of fame? Here is a tatoo on a non-famous person that some may argue is more significant, entertaining, and worthy of debate than any tatto of a couple lines and a sphere or whatever between a thumb and forefinger. If you are compelled to fence about meaning... What say you on this?

The tattoo is a Native American symbol called a lakesh. It means equal but opposite. This has been confirmed by Herself on the UK TV chat show Parkinson, in the nineteen eighties, in her book In the Frame and by the Helen Mirren Appreciation Society (HMAS). According to her book a female Indian created the tattoo using a safety pin and ink from a pen. She said that it was incredibly painful. I bet it was. [edit on 27-5-2009 by Macavity]
