The question we need to ask ourselves is why Iran is treating the soldiers in this manner?

I think, personally, that Iran has realized that this capture of British soldiers has had a bad effect on their world image. Iran must try to reconcile that as much as possible without giving in to the demands of the UK. Releasing those soldiers would make them appear weak and would basically be an admitance that they were wrong in the first place. What's the next best thing they could do? They could show the world that the British sailors are being treated well.

It looks like they are being treated much better than prisoners at Gitmo. I do not recall seeing any Gitmo prisoners smiling in photographs. Ive guarded Taliban prisoners in Afghanistan and we provided them three Halal meals a day, Water, Blankets, and Mats. None of our people ever looked like the people at GITMO. There were no interrogations and the guys slept most of the time. We would escort them to the bathroom when they needed to go. The only thing that might of bothered them was our music and movies, but I think they liked them.

Those guys at Abu Ghraib, the National Guard guys, should of been humiliated as punishment for the crap they pulled. Alot of people that get captured are at the wrong place at the wrong time. You can't go around treating them all as if they blew up the WTC. You have to follow regulations and treat them neutrally unless they become a threat. Your not their friend but you don't do stupid crap to them either.

2)why are you bringing POW links into this situation? especially when the Brits are held HOSTAGE by Iran.
