In war, many soldiers have committed suicide to save their comrades.
There are many stories of soldiers throwing themselves on top of grenades and things like that to save their comrades.
Is it your opinion that it is unreasonable for a soldier to be asked to fly his plane into another plane to prevent a much larger tragedy from
occurring?
I don't know about the UK, but in the US a soldier has the right to refuse an order he feels is illegal. Suicide is illegal, so he could refuse the
order.
