Bunk??? There were three Nootka Conventions ALL of which Britain signed. They did indeed cede all claims to the Falklands. The first Convention was signed on October 28, 1790. The second Nootka Convention was signed in February of 1793, and the third was signed on January 11, 1794.

Yes. Argentina themselves nullified the treaty by attacking US Seal hunters. Treaty was forfit.

Interesting to note that there are about ten landmines on the islands for every citizen.

So? Thats to stop the Argies trying to invade.

EDIT: i might add that a good portion of those mines were laid by the Argie invaders and not the British forces.

The dispute continues and will until England sticks to it's own island in the North Atlantic and stops trying to rule from a distance.

We don't "rule" from a distance. The islands are ours. The people on the islands are British. It's also largely self-governing.

In the history of Britain it has long been so. In the end, like so many other British coloinies, the Malvinas will return to local rule in one form or another

It's already locally ruled. By the Islanders themselves, who, I might add, are British.

If you look at the slands coat of arms on the flag you will notice that it contains a sheep, a ship, and an Argentinian flag. The British flag is in the upper left hand corner while the coat of arms in on the lower right.

No it's not, don't be absurd.

The Island's coat of arms is a sheep atop a ship, to represent the islands main economic activity. The Blue wavy lines are the Sea. Doesn't look a thing like the Argie flag.

You so funny!
