Google "Airbrushing" History

www.cnn.com

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (AP) -- Google's replacement of post-Hurricane Katrina satellite imagery on its map portal with images of the region before the storm does a "great injustice" to the storm's victims, a congressional subcommittee said.

If Google is doing this I can only imagine what other things have been "airbrushed" so no one can see them. Good ol' NWO supporting Google.

I have seen alot of things on Google Earth that seem to have been Airbrushed. There are quite a few in Antarctica. 'They' say there is a good reason for it being the way it is, but I just don't know.

I can't believe that this even made the news.

There is'nt some conspiracy behind Google Earth still showing
pre-Katrina New Orleans.

It's simply that they have not gotten all the images of the area
as it is now, and put them together.

Did you read this part?

It was not clear when the current images replaced views of the city taken after Katrina struck August 29, 2005

The images were replaced. It's not like they never made it to the site. They were there now they're not.

That is awfully strange. Any explanation by Google?

Image date, image quality, blah blah. If the quality was an issue than they wouldn't have had the images up to begin with. I dunno it just seems fishy to me.

Hm, I missed that part.
Sorry, it's late, I'm tired, I'm bound to make a few mistakes.

I'm interested to know why now as well, though I do think it's
something innocent.

No prob it happens to everyone.
I'm not so sure it's innocent I mean that's a buttload of images to just have innocently replaced IMO

Regarding the information age and the manipulation of said information:

Anyone who ever watched the cyber-punk movies of the eighties and had a heavy dose of said programming knew full well it wold come to this one day - even the internet itself.

Welcome to the new medium of control, embrace passivity.

Why do we continue to act surprised?

It's not at all surprising. The only thing surprising about this story is that it actually was reported by a major media outlet. It just begs the question. If we know about this how much is being done that we don't know about. I think this is only the tip of the iceberg.
