Airline tickets to Spain were sold out for weeks, and the Atlantic Ocean was clearly too vast to cross in a fishing boat. So a group of 82 Bolivians tried a novel way to migrate to Europe: they took a luxury cruise.

Paying up to €2,400 (£1,630) each for a berth on an ocean liner, the Bolivian group embarked in Brazil alongside well-heeled Argentine and Dutch passengers. But when the vessel reached its European stopovers of Tenerife, Cádiz and Valencia this week, police officers refused to let them onto Spanish Soil.

I always suspected there was a potential problem with illegal immigration from South American Countries to Europian Countries but never suspected that it would number in the thousands over a 10 day period. Those are pretty significant numbers and would surely cause Spain tons of problems.

You do however have to give the one group some credit for their inovative method of trying to look like tourists.
