i think the seats would be a good idea the U.S.A make bad ones. When someone ejects there chance of injury is very high and with russians one it ALOT lower so anything can help protect pilots is good.

I know that Martin-Baker have a helluva lot of respect for Russian ejection seat manufacturers, and indeed, have indicated that in many ways their seats are superior and have been superior for a long time.


Interestingly, the Martin-Baker company owe its ejection seat business to the guts of a technican, Bert Lynch I think his name was, who allowed himself to be tested. I seen some videos of the test rig - and lets just say you wouldn't get me within 20 feet of it


A little anecdote, James Martin, the guy that founded the company, was born in a village about 20 miles from where I live at home
