Just wondering if crytechs "CRYSIS" game will be running on other media than the PC. (XBOX PS2 etc.)

Yes, at the moment it is only PC. This is the first game using CryENGINE2, so don't expect same-day releases. The engine is being developed for DX9/10 with 360 and PS3 in mind. If the PC version fares well, it will most likely end up on consoles also. This was the same team that developed FarCRY, which was also released to consoles about a year after it's PC release.

I put up a thread a fair few months ago about this game after seeing the trailers of in game footage, its going to be incredible and I bought a new PC just for the tech that this game brings to the table. I like the noisy undergrowth and nearly everything is destructable. I also like the setting of the game and that halfway through the game the whole island gets frozen, changing the setting and physics.

Don't tease me now...

I thought it was DX10 only, and that you would have no choice but to be running VISTA if you wanted to play.

Please tell me I'm wrong!

I heard it would be directx 9 & 10, or possibly an update to 10. I have seen a few shots from in game showing the differences between the 2.

KuroKage, could you post a link to that vid? I'd like to see it.

But Crysis looks like it's going to be one heck of a game. I can't wait for it's release on the PC. So many great games are coming out this year and next, the only crappy thing is you'll have to be using Vista
I hate Vista
