Iran has "suspended" the release of Leading Seaman Faye Turney, stating this this due to Britain's "incorrect attitude".

Demonstrators in Iran have been calling for the 15 sailors to be executed.

The Iranian hostage crisis has taken a new twist after protesters in Tehran demanded the 15 captured British service personnel be hanged.

The demonstrators waved placards with the words: '15 British aggressors must be executed'.

They staged the protest outside the foreign ministry.

It came as the Iranian government said the early release of the only female hostage, Faye Turney, would be postponed because of Britain's "incorrect attitude".

"The release of a female British soldier has been suspended," the Mehr news said in a report that quoted military commander Alireza Afshar.

It blamed "the wrong behaviour of those who live in London".

Not a good turn of events.

The demonstrations were pretty much expected. Any country has it's fair share of people who will baying for blood immediately.

The suspension of the release of Faye Turney though, lets just hope this is Iran dragging out the enventual safe release of all 15 troops.

Sky News just stated that the Brit government are now approaching the UN to support a statement that "diplores Iran's actions"....whatever thats all about!

I think it's pretty clear that this is out of order, do we really need constant to and fro-ing in order for people to know what a nasty act this is?
