Iraq: Policemen go on Killing Spree

Shiite militants and police enraged by massive truck bombings in the northwestern town of Tal Afar went on a revenge spree against Sunni residents there Wednesday, killing as many as 60 people, officials said.

The gunmen began roaming Sunni neighborhoods in the city, shooting at residents and homes, according to police and a local Sunni politician.

He said more than 60 Sunnis had been killed, but a senior hospital official in Tal Afar put the death toll at 45, with four wounded.

Welcome to Iraq; where killing is an everyday news. If it's not a suicide bomb, then it is local Police killing people. While some people would call this an act of terrorism - since more then 60 civilians have been killed, ages from 15 and 60, with a shot to the back of the head; others call this revenge. Still it is just a bitter reminder, how things in Iraq have gotten from bad to worse then under Saddam, when this kind of killings did occur; but they still do! Even under the protection of mighty Coalition, who allows this kind of attrocities to be happening in from of their eyes.

So why exactly should people of Iraq trust police or their "government"?
