The British Ministry of Defence has released proof that the British sailors and marines captured by Iran were in Iraqi waters at the time of their capture.

They were apparently 1.7 nautical miles in Iraqi waters. The Iranians provided two sets of coordinates for this event to the British government. The first did occur in Iraqi waters, and was subsequently changed when the MoD pointed this out.

It will be released over the MoD Website shortly.

No, that's someone claiming to have proof that the vessels were in Iranian waters. And it isn't proof at all, it's just an article.


What the MoD have released is evidence to try to prove that the British sailors and marines were in Iraqi waters at the time of their capture.
