wow if something goes down It will be an amazing display... I'm glad that I'm on the east coast!

When was the last time activity to this extent was seen?

I wonder if there's any reports of wildlife leaving the areas?

I'm back for the usual pep talk from you guys that think I'm full of pudding on this. Haven't been keeping up with the activity "up yonder", but it appears that we experienced an ELP earlier today that registered on several of the Cascade/Olympic webicorders. But, in particular, it appears to have registered strongest on Mt. Rainier...

burp!

Valhall,

This is all interesting, but I don't know how to read the graphs. What do you think is happening? Do you think it is leading up to a big earthquake?

I think we are continuing to have magmatic encroachment in St. Helens, and in Rainier and that one of these festering boils is about to blow!

This MUST be the answer as to why, I can no longer find Rainer Beer.

Are not the Hawaii Volcanoes a part of the ring of fire? They keep on erupting, making bigger islands........

Ya, I am also getting missing pages and links not found at the The Pacific Northwest Seismograph Network. If you check here.

You will see the whole world is shaking.

There was a 6.3 earthquake in Iran earlier today, and there was another a 4.3 after.

Funny thing.

Was teaching my mother about how volcanoes are good and bad. I explained to her about the big three here that we have to worry about: Mt St Helens, MT Baker, and Mt Rainier. I was telling her how we were pretty much dust if Mt Rainier ever blew, it would take out by pyroclastic flow, the area from Chehalis to Renton, and Seattle would get ashed and burnt down.

Now I see this thread. Im currently living right in the shadow of the volcano, in the suburb of Auburn. This certainly is something Im glad I could see.

I was just thinking about MT Rainier errupting when I was out walking last night too.

I live in Clarkston in the SE corner of the state, I remember vividly when St.Helens blew............darkness in the afternoon. I can only imagine what Rainier is going to be like, unfortunatly, it WILL destroy much more than Helens did. Maybe you should move?

Beleiev me, I am trying. Considering Canada...., cuz you go any other direction in the US, you have to drive REALLY far to get out of the red zone of Rainier.........

This just on top of the metor explosion or whatever the hell it was that hit us a couple weeks ago, 20 tornadoes in the month of June, (seattle gets tornadoes once in a blue moon, and tornadoes up here are seriously freak occurances. One is an extreme oddity, but 20 is about as normal as a blizzard in Hawaaii.....)

I hope everybody in this area is going to be okay!

I think Mt. St. Helens doesn't pose as much of a risk to population centers as Mt. Rainier, right?

I noticed this yesterday when I was monitoring the webicorder and hydrology data. There are two lakes being monitored, both are showing a drop in water level that started at the same time the quake activity ramped up.
