Any Proud Non-Smokers here?

I am proud to say that I do not smoke. My mother passed away of lung cancer due to almost 50 years of smoking. I tried it one time when I was about nine years old, decided it wasn't for me and have never touched them again.

I've never touched a cigarette in my life ether.

But I'm not legally old enough to smoke anyway, not that I plan on doing it. Never had alcohol ether. I'll probably just drink wine occasionally when I'm old enough (I'm half Italian, its required. ). But I never plan on smoking.

Great job on not giving in to peer pressure!! I smoked for six and a half years, and have recently quit. It's only been a week and a half, but I enjoy being able to breathe easier, smell better and many other things.

I've never smoked anything except one thing which isn't harmful anyways. Never mind. I hate smokers, they make my life harder, make me breed more difficult, make me loose my concentration and raising my chances of getting more diseases. Not smoking is something I take for granted when I hang out with people. If someone smokes I try to stay as far away as possible from the person.

However our air is so full of crap these days that keeping away from smoking only helps a bit.

They can indeed! For example I took a simple shower once when I was under the influence of a mind altering drug (which I wont name) and you'd be amazed at how you can seemingly feel every drop of water hitting you. Not just that but each drop feels like an electrical jolt of pleasure, euphoria and joy all in one. I can't explain it better than that but it felt like it was raining electrical pins that felt wonderful. Now, how many people have missed out on that? If you don’t over indulge in anything and always regulate and maintain yourself you can enjoy life and still be relatively safe...

Kacen, you alcoholic! lol, I'm just kidding man, I know you well enough to know that you'll only take it in small amounts

anyway...........I am a happy nonsmoker, my grandfather gave one to me when I was little so that I would never smoke (it made me choke very bad) I hate the smell, the taste, uugghhh, I hate it, it is so discusting, I don't do drugs either, but I'd rather have someone smoke weed around me then cigarettes! I've never done any drugs, and I don't drink ( though I've drank before, several years ago, but it was discusting bs, alcohol tastes like crap, it made my mind go bad, and has ruined families I've known, (even some of my family members) in fact I hate alcohol more then cigarettes and weed, the smell of it (especially in someone's breathe) makes me very irritated and mad, I mean "wanna fight" mad, and alcoholics pist me off alot, especially when they act up and all dat, I've had to knock out several before, cuz they was messin with me,,,,,and dat stuff make ppl do bad crap....but cigarettes are annoying as hell, like I like to sit in the balcony and when I smell that disgusting smoke I get so pist, I mean, come on ppl, I'm tryin to enjoy FRESH AIR (isn't that why I'm in da balcony) and fools be puffin on dat tobacco and givin me bad air..........................when I wanna have fun or pleasure I have sex, not smoke cigarettes, do drugs or drink sex is da best, and it has no side effects (unless you don't use protection ) and it is great,,,,,Westpoint, I don't think there is any drug that can give you as much good feeling or pleasure as sex, you GOTTA admitt that

so everyone put yo cigarettes, drugs and bottles down and pick up a box of rubbaz and hit da club

And also I hang out in bars and clubs, but that doesn't mean I drink I go there fo da girls, to kick it with ppl and to play pool, surprisingly drunks at bars neva pist me off, that's interesting

this is silly. you sir are silly for hating someone just because they smoke. hell i smoke, i might even smoke to much but I am the most interesting person i know! how would YOU feel if I told YOU I hated YOU because of something YOU enjoyed doing? Wouldn't be very fair would it? And as far as me making your life harder.. when have I or someone like me ever made your life harder simply because they're smokin' a cigarette?

I had an eye-opener tonight.

I never buy my own smokes, my hubby takes care of that, but I do smoke 30 - 40 cigarettes a day. He was sleeping tonight and I couldn't find a pack in the house, so I went to the store.

Haha, yeah but have you ever done it while under the influence of certain things? Dude, words don't do the feeling justice so I wont even begin to describe it... Let me just say that it ruined it for me, after that 'normal' intercourse just seems lacking, I never thought I would say that but it's true...

Also, the price for a pack here in Penn is around five dollars, cigarettes are approaching and in some states surpassing drug prices, ironic. Anyway, a friend of mine drives down to Delaware where they're sold tax free and only go for like two something. He buys in bulk and makes a killing here...

I'm a smoker, been a smoker for a long time. My skin isnt greying, I'm damned atheletic, and no my teeth arent going bad either.

I started smoking because of stress levels. Those same stress levels formed an ulcer, acid reflux, and a really bad habit of hitting the closest object when I got frustrated.
I've seen the cost of the meds that would be required to drop my stress levels enough to solve the problem, really freaking expensive, and completley non-enjoyable. The only things I have come across that can drop my stress level enough to keep it managable is tobacco, pot, and alcohol. Pot I've only done once, and I wont touch it again, and alcohol is great for a social environment, but it can't be taken before work. So tobacco really is the only thing I have to drop the stress.

Since I started smoking, the ulcer has subsided. The acid reflux is rare. I havent spontaneously hit someone in years.
I've heard people saying "well go buy the gum". Have you TASTED that sh**?!

Quite frankly, I don't give a rats ass how long I live, so long as I live that life happy.
I typically smoke away from other people to save them the trouble. But when someone comes up to me and starts telling me off for smoking... they are going to get a face full of smoke. Theres nothing I would love more than for one of those pricks to give me a reason to break their jaw.

People who don't smoke should really keep it to themselves. Great, you've never smoked... I'd love to be that stress free... but don't dare come up to me and tell me what to do, or I guarantee you, you will become the target of any stress I have at that time.

i cna t wait for the smoking bamn to come into affect this year because im fed up with going into a pub or resturant and comeing out smelling of stale cigarettes.
and the fact that i could possibly get lung cancer from second hand smoke really makes me angry thats the reason i dont want to smoke i want to live past fifty.

i laugh at smokers when they say its not fair on them if they cant smoke in public places well its not fair on us non smokers to get your second hand cancer

Why dont you save your hate for the legislators/governments that are discriminating against smokers who have been ostracised, yet still collect their taxes on a drug they have legalised that they allow to be sold to the general public. Sheesh some people.

smokers for some reason think they have a right to smoke in peoples faces you are causeing cancer.
yes its ok to for the goverment to ban smoking in public places for once they are thinking of the health of those people who dont wish to die from smoking those people with common sence.

how many timws does a smoker have to be told and in what lamous terms that smoking = death not just for them either.


and the really big wind up for me is when i see a pregant woman smoking, and i just know that when the child is born and has all sorts of respatory problems and is under weight its everyone elses falt other than hers

I am proud to be a non-smoker. I think that smoking is the stupidest thing a person can do. Congrats to all the intellectual non-smokers here!
