Israeli Officer Sells Weapons to Terrorists in Iraq

www.globalresearch.ca

Ma'ariv Daily has reported that an Israeli retired officer sells weapons to terrorist groups in Iraq. Shmoel Avivi, an Israeli retired officer, had established a firm in Iraq 2 years ago, which secretly sold arms to terrorist groups in Iraq, Ma'ariv reported.

Amnesty International reported that Avivi was one of the biggest weapon dealers in the Middle East. Iraqi sources earlier announced that terrorist attacks in Iraq were backed by the intelligence agencies of CIA and Mossad...

Certainly an interesting read.

Shmoel Avivi, an Israeli retired officer, who established a firm in Iraq two years ago has been proclaimed by Amnesty International as one of the bigger dealers of weapons to terrorist organizations in the Middle East - especially in Iraq.

Iraqi Death Squads: the nurturing hand of the US revealed

There are questions raised whether Avivi may have kept his intelligence links alive, as Iraqi sources have announced that terrorist attacks in Iraq are backed by the CIA and the Israeli Mossad - an allegation which may be specifically related to Avivi. Irrelevant of whether or not Avivi is still working for his "former employers", it is clear evidence that there is little need for Iran to sell weapons in Iraq.

Israeli, Swiss and UK firms and exports from Serbia & Montenegro

Talon’s owner is Major Shmuel Avivi, according to the Federation of Israeli Chambers of commerce website. An Israeli source described Shmuel Avivi as "former Israeli military attaché in Switzerland." Mr. Avivi declined to say whether he was currently a serving member of the Israeli defence forces.(509) Mr. Avivi appears to have served as Israel’s military attaché in Denmark and Sweden. The Israeli source stated that "He [Mr. Avivi] operated out of Switzerland with a Swiss business partner whose first name is Henri." Henri goes by the name of Heinrich in Switzerland where he is known as Mr. Heinrich Thomet, associated with at least two companies involved in arms dealing, Brugger & Thomet AG and BT International Ltd. Mr Heinrich Thomet stated that he worked together with Mr. Shmuel Avivi "occasionally" and that his company "are supplying Taos Industries on the US SOCOM business" but that his company was not "actually providing any services for Iraq or Afghanistan, we are mainly working on the US government contract which is a SOCOM transaction."

Interesting to observe the "money trail" and to check out who the real big fishes of the arms sales in the Middle East are. Yet certain people try their best to point the finger at Iran - since everything lately has been about Iran. Yet articles like this one point out, that the real "business men" are actually much more close to the west then anybody from Iran. Usually many links point out to many western corporations, arms dealers and intelligence agencies, who already have a vast net of connections establishes here.

Strange, i always thought the Western powers would do their best to keep details such as these supressed, even if that meant 'suiciding' a few investigators. i mean if all else fails, just call it the next slew of terrorist attacks and blame it on Iran (or whoever might be the next bad-guy-in-a-box), but no, tales of Western meddling on all sides surfaces time and time again (see f-ex. British S/Os dressing as Insurgents, packing explosives, caught firing at police station)

My personal theory is that they want people to know, for the simple reason that even unconcious acknowledgement confers agreement with the policies. as if the majority really wanted this 'empire thing' to happen (and end in an ocean of tears).

sobering, eh? i'm probably completely off, though.
