does anyone know what the sentence in iran is for espionage or spying. do they get excecuted with regard to the 15 brits that have been captured.

even though this may just to push uk into helping iran, do you think that iran would do such a thing as excecute them.

The penalty for espionage in Iran is death. However, similar accusations of spying were made when eight British servicemen were detained in the same area in 2004. They were paraded blindfolded on television but did not appear in court and were freed after three nights in detention.

They said this last time and released them soon after. I guess we will have to wait see what happens, but if they do put them on trial then they are really are pushing the UK to our limits, if not past them.

Yes, espionage in Iraq is considered a high crime and punishable by death.

But this is no going to happen with the UK prisoners the intentions are to use them for Iranian advantage.

yep but if iran want back there people from the usa, and the usa does not give them back, how will iran look at this. this is different from the 2004 show for many reasons.

i suppose it all depends on what iran wants and what the west is willing to give.
