Didn't see this one on ATS, so i thought i'd grab and share it.

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP) - A strong earthquake shook the border of Costa Rica and Panama early Thursday, killing an infant and leaving dozens of others with mainly minor injuries, authorities said.

The magnitude-6.3 temblor struck at 2:11 a.m., disrupting some late- night Christmas parties in Puerto Armuelles and cutting electricity there. Panamanian officials said it was centered about seven miles northeast of Puerto Armuelles, located on the country's Pacific coast.

Okay, i'm no geological expert but wouldn't this lay on the same fault line as california does? Could this be an indication of the possible coming big one?

I think these are all aftershocks of the Central California earthquake from Monday. Look at this site. www.iris.edu...

It looks like seismic activity is picking up everywhere. But I don't know if the two quakes are on the San Andres fault. I would imagine movement on two sides would put pressure on the area in the middle. But that looks like it would be Mexico.
