the way it moves is soo worm like damn..it reminds me of that one video that dude posted that has yet to be analyzed.
i mean either way real big worm or not ...hella interesting but the thought of a live worm or even worm like creature that big lurking around space and the earth just ugh...the thing is i have this very bad phobia of worms and this is like a real big nightmare for me!

how come the nasa astronauts dont fly closer to it? if its even possible i don't know the capabilities of the shuttles and stuff. but yeah.

Below is the excerpt from page 87 "Brighter Than a Thousand Suns" by Robert Jungk published originally in German under the title "Heller als tausend Sonnen" English translation by James Cleugh 1958 First Edition

The first paragraph below is the context for the footnote...

The most important new weapon developed by the Germans during the war, the V2 long range rocket, came into use at a stage of the conflict when Germany's position had become quite desperate. The indifference of Hitler and those about im to research in natural science amounted to positive hostility (1) It had at a very early period cost the Fuhrer the good will of the physicists.

The only exception to the lack of interest shown by authority was contituted by the Air Ministry. The Air Force research workers were in a peculiar position. They produced interesting new types of aircraft such as the Delta (triangular) and "flying discs". The first of these"flying saucers" as they were later called - circular in shape, with a diameter of some 45 yards - were built by the specialists Schriever, Habermohl and Miethe. They were first airborne on February 14, 1945, over Prague and reached in three minutes a height of nearly eight miles. They had a flying speed of 1250 mph which was doubled in subsequent tests.

It is believed that after the war Habermohl fell into the hands of the Russians. Miethe developed at a later date similar "flying saucers" at A.V.Roe and Company for the United States


Okay so there you have it... thanks to Hitler being crazy and not listening to the scientists, Germany never finished the program. Since Hitler later ordered the scientists killed just before von Braun et all escaped we can see that we were pretty lucky in the timing of events

Eight miles high speed 2500 mph... 45 yards diameter... not bad for "non existent craft...

So it would seem the Avro Arrow really WAS just a cover up for the real work afterall! This book was well worth the money
