::How many people here get ringing in their ears/head?::

All I can say is this.

My Computer IS causing my ears to ring.

I just built this new PC and the motherboard has a faulty capacitor which emmits a uber high frequency which ears can pick up on, even if you have headphones on, it will cut through as if you were not wearing them.

It really weird since the frequency is quiter than the fannoise but it cuts through and noticable.

Turn off the computer, the ringing is still there, hours later its gone or subsided.
Spend a day from the PC and no super high pitched eeeeeeeeeee........ in my ears.

My computer is on my right hand side and the most effected ear is my right.

Go to sleep and wake up the next morning, no sound ringing, sit at the computer for hours. . . .eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...............

There's some research done in Sweeden about electromagnetic frequencies from computers.

I just don't know if this affects everyone or just select people though.

It might sound weird but I think one of the reasons for this is because of silence. I'm not sure why, but one time I was reading about astral projection, and the article said that it's normal to hear "static" and "noises" at the beginning of meditation. They said it has to do with "leaving this dimension, hearing sound waves, and electrical frequencies".
On another note, there is a medical reason for this as stated many other times in this thread, but all the causes seemed to stem from not properly cleaning out your ears. I'll be happy to announce that I happen to clean out my ears frequently

This ringing u r experiencing is the effects of frequency radio waves which come and go, get louder, softer, It is part of mind control programming. To avoid the ringing effects which after time can make u nutty listen to music through headphone (which act as antenae) on ur mp3 player. The vibrations from the music empede the microwave frequencies u hear in ur ears.
Sounds like a bunch of crock.....but just try it and see for urself. Post back ur findings....I KNOW I AM RIGHT!

I dated a girl for a while who had tinitus. She was quite annoyed with it, though mostly when she wasn't preoccupied with something else. The worst time being when she had to sleep. Her trick was to turn on the radio at a faint level, just enough to give a slight disturbance. That could counter the worst effect of her condition.

There are many kinds of tinitus. Some like you hear ringing noises, others hear tones, and others again have the noise of a tv screen with snow on it.
I'm thankful that I don't have this yet.
In most cases it can be attributed to the small hairs in your ear breaking off, damaged by longterm irritation. This could be from working with loud machines, going to concerts or even listening to your iPod at max volume. It can even occur from working in an environment where you after some time don't think about the decibel level being a little too high.
As far as I know there are no definite cures yet

I agree to a degree.

I have noticed that more lately, there is a sound that blends with the fan, yet is of the nature of the whine, like a sound of what a dog whistle would be like, you have to be pretuned to recognize it or at least are more likely to frequency with it if you are familar as I am to the sound/piercing feeling.

This isn't the case with me. At times I wake up and as soon as I open my eyes and look around there is the familiar feeling/sound in the middle of my head.

It also seems to manifest frequently when I am taking in or exchanging information that seems important to me. As if my mental functions somehow play a part. I will go for weeks with out experiencing the tone and other times it will just make me want it to go away.

I have been checked by a doctor, even a specialist and was not appearing to show the damage to the hairs and other criteria for the tinnitus diagnosis, but if you go to wikipedia and look at all the potential causes it just about covers everything, even lyme disease as a cause.

I have wondered if I need a new tower because this "tone" as I mentioned earlier is not just tied to the computer although it does emit the same tone.

I just don't know if this affects everyone or just select people though.

Good question. I have tried to avoid the mind control aspect as the culprit in this phenomena because to do so would be to give away my power and become a victim to whatever would do that.

Instead I got the idea when it first started that it was somehow physical preparation for higher frequencies in the future for whatever positivereasons. This is how I choose to deal with it. Maybe even a/my higher spiritual knowing alerting me to pay attention.

@all

Heres one I bet every one of you have done and not realized it.... Ever heard the ringing "in your ear" not really, then grabbed your cell phone as if someone was going to call yet its blank wait 1/2 a second later you have a new incoming call..

I hate answering the phone so i keep it on no sounds option meaning no vibe no sounds. This happens to me a few times a week so whether I like it or not I seem to pick up the darn phone before it rings and i have a mild sensation in my ears that one could call ringing before the visual alert on the phone. I use a verizon phone working off of cdma EVDO Phone This has happened on my past three phones over a 6 year time frame each phone being a diff manufacture, first samsung, second motorola , third lg.

Well, Joe, you know if your cell phone is near the computer and in some cases the alarm clock or even the car stereo you will get the static rhythem ahead of the ring. It even periodically will play the rhythem when the phone doesn't ring because they say it is searching for a tower, why on earth it needs to search for a tower when no one is calling beats the heck outta me, but so it is...........

As for you knowing before it rings, you may have a bit of sensitivity to the vibratory assault of the frequency that the speakers and such pick up!

I have what you call Chronic Tinnitus in my right ear from pistol/rifle fire. So basically it's a permanent ear ring, with 15-20% hearing loss in that ear. I still hear well. I can also feel things to hear also. The ring never goes away. It gets low at times, and other times it gets louder.

My ears always ring, moreso on the left side. I have perfect hearing, haven't had a headache in forever and I don't even remember the last time I was ill. When I try to meditate, it gets really loud ot the point that's all I can focus on. If my attention is brought to it (like this thread) it bugs me but I'm so used to it I don't really notice it most of the time since it doesn't interfere with my hearing, but it is indeed always there.
