Is it the total ammount of replies to threads that we started?

i think it may be like that, but its on the same bar...

in other words, the grayish matter represents either ATS/BTS/PTS, the red represents another, and etc...

of course, i am looking way into it though

or maybe its based on the number of threads one has made???

There is nothing worse then someone saying the answer is really easy then not being able to figure out.

Or is it both total threads started and total replies combined?

It might be the number of flagged threads...Or the number of flags you've received...Or the number of threads you've flagged.

While I see what your getting at, and agree with some of it, I think this is the greatest asset of this new bar. For the obvious reasons. Now, as a member, we are forced to actually read the posts of members and decide their worth. In my days as a member, I was lucky enough to receive enough Applauses to break the old post bar. I mean, I don't kid myself for a second to think I'm in the same realm as half of this board when it comes to worthy posts. I read some of the material from new members with a glowing gray bar, and a lot of it goes unnoticed. Our posts speak for themselves, and the bar will not speak for ourselves anymore.

I think Applauses! are a form of reinforcement, not a determining factor for some mythological "ATS hierarchy".

And we can not overlook what is most important.

I've noticed a big difference myself.

And to show that I am capable of having an opinion of my own, not just agreeing with everything that the Admin do, I will say that I did prefer the old red titles. I prefer the old titles, but I happen to like the new post bar.

For members that work hard for their credibility and respect which they have earned, I feel the new bar a sort of slap in the face. I am now among the newest members making crack pot stories about their trip back in time with buhbuh the reptilian.

I see what your saying, but you can always look at someones "joined" date.... If the bar was re-adjusted to properly show someones post I would be happier as for applauses I suppose they don't matter anymore?
