Since this has been changed, has anyone else noticed that ATS is either really fast or really slow?
In fact, I can't get some threads to load at all, this as an example:
www.abovetopsecret.com...
I've seen recommendations of doing a traceroute of the connection or something, how can I do that?

I was just going to post it. ATS is really slow right now. It keeps going to the google page, not loading picture, not loading smilys and some threads
just don't work at all.

That's because it appears the thread doesn't exist.

I think ATS loads faster,
here are the page stats for this thread.
ATS Server: Primary 01
Powered by AboveTop:Board v2.3
Header data processed in 0.010 seconds
Page processed in 0.060 seconds
14 total database queries (5)

Well at the moment it's at the top of the page, the middle recent podcast, by Dave Rabbit, according to the link on each page.

I too can't get threads to load consistently. About 25% of the time I get a complete failure... "The page cannot be displayed" ...Other times only
a portion of the page loads.
One second, it's very fast...the next click...very slow.
I also find that my subscribed list of threads is sometimes missing on the MYATS page...
Anyone else?

Eh, I really preferred the red shades of yesterday but lime green, olive, blue and yellow aren't so bad...
Same here, sometimes some pages load really fast other times they go normal speed or just slow, and the problem is not on my end...

Imp, how could you!
Uhh, normal page loading times for me.

Yes... maddening...
Our database server load is average more than 1.5 on a regular basis. Any Linux admin will tell you they get concerned when it passes 1.15 and
consider shutting the services down at 1.25.
We were running about 1.6 before I reconfigured the viewthread pages... then we instantly dropped to 0.8 and then 07.... awesome.
But alas... now that pages load faster... more pages are being loaded... and we're back at 1.3/1.4.

It just reflects the growth of the site, it may have happened before but I noticed membership over 100,000 for the first time a couple of days ago,
and the added benfit of some exposure on Paracast and other avenues, we are being blessed by a fresh influx of posters....
Add to that, the IMMENSE base of quality contributors already established, I can see that you are going to have a few bumps in the road...
I suggest a sixpack of a nice stout, you have earned it SO

I assume that means 1.3 times what the servers are theoretically capable of? Or does it mean something else?

I think it's the average amount of monkeys needed to turn the hand-cranks... Either that or it's terabytes per milliseconds?

I don't know if this is related, but I haven't been able to access the site all day. There was only an hour earlier where it worked, apart from that
its been completely inaccessible.

enjoies05 and Xeros have very similar colours, so I was having a looksi. Is it possible it may have something to do with the registration date?
