Just on the news, the Delta terminal at Laguardia airport is being evacuated over a "security threat". More soon. (Probably nothing)

LaGuardia has grounded ALL outgoing flights now.

With the nation on high alert and the city at orange plus, LaGuardia Airport has placed all departing flights on hold due to concerns about a passenger.

Seems like everyone is on the edge today. Twitchy trigger fingers,. and skeptical mindsets.

You have to imagine the last ditch effort of the die-hard Iraqi force that is snuffing out as we speak, since the capture of Saddam.

Some lunatic woman rang the bell on the metal detector, then ran past the "secondary search" crew... they're shutting down the terminal and flights to look for her.

It shouldn't be hard to apprehend her. Airports are covered by surveillance cameras.
Just goes to show how one nut can cause such chaos in these days where everyone is jumpy.

You have to criticize the security set up though. To get through two checkpoints without being immediately caught after setting off the detector is sloppy work on thier part.

A woman ran somewhere past secondary---didn't they allude to this before? Now, if I'm a terrorist (which I am NOT for all you Homeland Security gestapos), would I do this if you already knew my gameplan?

I wouldn't say propaganda that works in the US favour. Everyone is just very, very jumpy.
You have to ask the question, would this woman have caused an airport terminal to be evacuated if the intelligence sources weren't intercepting radio traffic and if it wasn't Christmas?
Hitting the US over Christmas would be a big psychological and propaganda boost for Al Qaeda. It's common sense make sure that they are denied a victory at this time.

And to answer your question Colonel. Getting through to an airport satellite is one of the best ways to get onto the tarmac or the hangars if you know where to go.

Still. they said this was gonna happen. If I am a bad guy, I wouldn't do this. I would try something else.

I thought you were the bad guy around here? jk.

I agree, I think after all these sirens going off, they must know that if thier up to something, thier busted, and security is too high.

Too risky to send an operative.

What if hes captured?

Maybe she got scared?

Maybe she was under a Hajab, really, how can you tell a guy from a girl under those things?

i've known some women under the "platok" as we call it, didn't know it's called "hajab", but whatever

these women are sheep damnit....so she got scared..how come they're still looking??

she morphed into a guy then...or the guy took the hajab off, changed his clothes...and is waiting patiently as the cleaner untill he can board a plane

ok..this sounds a tad credible

All this news about these security threats are starting to give me the creeps. I'm leaving for Canada on vacation on friday, and I would hate to have anything happen while I'm on the plane.

I was planning on bringing my violin with me, but I'm afraid that I might spend ages at security having it looked over.

If I put my calculator in my briefcase, will i get arrested for having weapons of math instruction?

On a more serious note, I think that people who are innocent and cause such a scare like this are being extremely irresponsible. Everyone's jumpy enough from the fears of terror, and the last thing you need is a false alarm.

If she was scared that she would be detained, why would she run only to make things worse?

Up until a few weeks...months ago, I would have jumped on this and helped spread the hype. However I have become so much more skepticle, that I really have dismissed all this as bull-#.

I'm really not sure this orange alert is all that real. And it's costing the states a wopping $1.1 billion per week to boot.

I just don't buy it any more.

This could all be a ploy to cover some sort of earth changes related happenings or help boost Bush's ratings in the poles.

Really... where is the proof? If they have foiled an attempted attack, why are the details not on the TV news?

Total Bull-#.imho

Are you guys on CNN reading this?
