Meet the Yanconodon, a transitional species recently discovered

So, in your spare time do you enjoy smashing brick walls with your bare fists? Maybe your should try your head, at least then eventually biology would force you to stop, AND you'll get some goodies when you wake up in the hospital.

In the crazy field that ATS deals with, we've all heard the phrase "moving the goal posts back" when referring to evidence that would prove something. This is often applied to UFOs and 911, because these two subjects seem to have tons of evidence. However, in the realm of evolution, there isn't even an endzone. So, short of ETs or God or the FSM coming down and telling us, "evolution happened, deal with it," there is nothing that will cause some people to see truth. Come to think of it, even that wouldn't convince some people because they would just say, "God did that to test our faith."

Back to the brick wall

evolution happened, is happening, and will happen. some of our less bright 'brothers and sisters' (used loosely) cant get past that stumbling point. the idea is, something that is not alive cannot suddenly spring into something is is alive. one intelligent designer wouldn't need to bother with building the grand end project, just get started with the right small effects, it'll work its way up from there. how does one actually work up the ego to believe we've simply sprung into existence? random chance is overrated. when is the last time you won the lottery?

In the fossil record - as far as I've read - species, that is very complex ones, abruptly appear and disappear. Considering the diversity of species there should be an enormous quantity of transtitionals.

Dawkins: " for example the Cambrian strata of rocks, vintage about 60 million years, are the oldest ones in which we find most of the major invertebrate groups. And we find many of them already in an advanced state of evolution, the very first time they appear. It is though they were just planted there, without any evolutionary history"

Compare the amount of 'transistionals' to the number of gaps.

trying to use the fossil record as evidence is not a good idea.

someone once said that if you found a fossil that went exactly down the middle of a transition gap someone against evolution would say that we'd have 2 gaps instead of 1

trying to use the fossil record as evidence is not a good idea.

and why isn't using physical evidence as evidence a good idea?
