A major manufacturer of pet foods sold throughout North America under dozens of store names is recalling millions of containers of its products while working to determine what caused kidney failure and some deaths of cats and dogs.

MASSIVE RECALL

To find out which brands are on the recall, log onto the MenuFoods.com web site. Menu Foods said Saturday it is recalling dog food sold under 46 brands and cat food sold under 37 brands and distributed throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. The pet foods were sold by major retailers, including Wal-Mart, Kroger and Safeway.

Not enough to tell me anything other than it was some kind of pet food.

Thanks for posting this BH, some very important information for those
of usNorth Americans with pets.

Luckily the cat food I buy is'nt on the list.

Apparently a dog or a cat needs to have been eating this for several months in order for them to feel any ill effects. I had to return a bunch to the store and have booked an appointment for my Cat with the Vet. Anyone who has confirmed that your pet has ingested a recalled food product should get their pet checked out as if Renal failure is detected early on, preventative measures can be taken.
