Just in time for the end of winter, we got a halfway decent snowfall.

I snapped these outside my apartment building:

You're snowed in.
I hope they closed all the schools.

We were beginning to wonder if we would have much of a winter in southern Ontario, but February gave us a couple snowfalls, and we got a bit more today.

There might be something to this "Global Warming" thing.
We had a pretty warm winter here, and not much snow, though I'm not sure if we broke any records.

We should really enjoy the winter while it lasts, we'll all be bitching about the heat in a couple months.:shk:

And what a beautiful picture.

I'd love to live in this neighborhood.

What building is that?

That big building is the Ansonia.

Something about that city, I don't know, it just captivates me. More so after 9/11, but I always had this fascination before that eventful day. Even a shot like this has me staring in amazement.

As for the snow, I know exactly what you are talking about. I was discussing this yesterday with a few people. I've yet to see more than a few inches of snow at one time, and that alone did not last more than 24 hours. It has literally been a green winter. Exception of a day or two.

Yesterday was hovering around freezing, but the four days before was around 15 degrees. (Celsius) Wearing a t-shirt in the first week of March is always good news for me.

The sun is now up in Ontario, this is the snow we got in Hamilton overnight.

Looking South:

Across the street.

Not much snow, but it sure feels like winter this morning.

White Death!

All of that is so depressing.

Blue skies, summer heat, green grass!

Surprisingly though, I've always enjoyed shoveling snow. Not sure why, but I always took my time and had some fun.

Great pictures.

You guys should go out for a nice walk in the snow. Must be nice to be in a beautiful snowy place. I remember being up north I always enjoyed my walks in the snow. I'm in a place where it's 70* right now. So no snow here.

I ventured out the front door and heard the roar of snow blowers.

I urged my trusty guide Nanook to seek a warmer climate, and he started to lead us South.
I knew he could get us through the worst of it.....

We traversed a forested land with many great trees.

Then we came upon the "Fountain of Youth".

Though we never did spot any youths hanging out there.......

My trusty guide spotted some rabbit tracks in the snow, and we set off at a good pace in hopes of finding food.

We spotted some glass houses across a large open area, we only had to get past some thorny rose gardens.

We soon entered into a secret tropical world.

My guide was a little hesitant, and he seemed to shy away from some of the native beasts.
He thought the girl planting ivy would banish us from this tropical paradise.

As for me, I just sat down on a path and forgot it was even winter beyond the glass roof.

If it's cold outside, do something about it......

Pretty cool pictures djohnsto77 and anxietydisorder.

At least you got yourselves decent amount of snow.

Here in North Vietnam, none. Just a continuos rain, humidity and a steady 18 degree temperature. Boring.

Oh my gosh. Thank you, you guys-- that is beautiful... So you ventured out and found the fountain of youth. The youths were hiding when they saw the strangers coming you know. The gaint rabbit paws led you to a beautiful secret tropical world. What a nice walk that must of been.

Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean.
All that hard work moving snow gives you a sense of pride about your accomplishment.
When you look behind you, and you see the area you just cleared, it just makes you want to shovel some more.

I think it makes us feel we have some control over our environment.

I'll trade some of that snow for some freakish blast furnace heat.

Sizzle Fading, Record Highs Set
Fourth Straight Day Of Record Heat

PHOENIX -- For the fourth consecutive day, Phoenix roasted in record high temperatures. It was 99 degrees Saturday, breaking the old record for the date of 92 degrees set in 1972.

It was also 99 degrees on Friday, which shattered the old record of 95 set in 1921. Friday's temperature marked the hottest reading so early in a calendar year. And, it marked the second hottest day ever recorded in March.

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

Last time the Southern Rockies had decent skiing was perhaps 12+ years ago.

Glad you got some snow

GREAT PICTURES!!!...*cough*...sorry, blew a vocal cord out there...

Seriously, one of the things I most enjoy on these boards is seeing, and hearing about, what it's like where others live.

I'll post a couple pics tomorrow of what it's like here in Northern California at present...suffice it to say that it is now 10:02 p.m. and we are just getting around to closing doors and windows, 'cause it's starting to cool off a bit. Nothing like Regenmacher has going in Phoenix, though...

One of my daughters is at college in Philly and she can't wait to get home for Spring break...definitely a Coastal California girl when it comes to weather...
