Some good stuff right here:

Cannabis: The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil

Original Article
Cannabis is the plant that "God" warned humans not to eat from, in the Garden of Eden. Genesis ([1]) 2:16-17: "And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.".

Why this analogy? Why was Cannabis The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and not the Tree of Life, for example? Well, God Himself declares after the fall in Genesis 3:22: "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.". The previous passage implies immediately that whatever it was Adam and Eve ate from, was NOT "The Tree of Life". For if it was, man would become (by the words of God Himself, above) immortal ("...and live forever"). After eating from the plant, not only man DID NOT became immortal, he instead started DYING, according to Genesis 3:19: "until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return". Do you know of any Cannabis consumers who are immortal? No? Neither does this author.

That is only a small BIT of what this guy I.N. Galidakis has written. His writings are great, if you remove the address after the .com/ you can see more.

This looks like anti-drug propaganda to me.

Or does it mean anyone who uses this can acually become gods of this world...I think NOT.

Here's something for the religious nuts to think about...If it is the sin adam and eve did, then by Jesus using it would make Jesus anti-god,but he is supposed to be gods son according to the bible and he wouldn't be able to go against gods laws...That is logical thinking anyway.

You cannot have it both ways....Wait yes you can because Jesus was put here to forgive humans for the sins they commit.(Beat you to it bible thumpers.)

Why would God make laws of sins and then send someone 1000's of years later to forgive all sins...(I know,,,,God saw the people would not follow his laws so he sent someone to forgive all sins) Something does not add up.
But I cannot judge you for your thinking.

Here is an article on Marijuana use in the history of religions thru out the world.
www.druglibrary.org...

"With offerings of devotion, ships from the isles will meet to pour the wealth of the nations and bring tribute to his feet. The Coptic Church believes fully the teachings of the Bible, and as such we have our daily obligations, and offer our sacrifices, made by fire unto our God with chants and Psalms and spiritual hymns, lifting up holy hands and making melody in our hearts.

Herb (marijuana) is a Godly creation from the beginning of the world. It is known as the weed of wisdom, angel's food, the tree of life and even the "Wicked Old Ganja Tree". Its purpose in creation is as a fiery sacrifice to be offered to our Redeemer during obligations. The political worldwide organizations have framed mischief on it and called it drugs. To show that it is not a dangerous drug, let me inform my readers that it is used as food for mankind, and as a medicinal cure for diverse diseases. Ganja is not for commerce; yet because of the oppression of the people, it was raised up as the only liberator of the people, and the only peacemaker among the entire generation. Ganja is the sacramental rights of every man worldwide and any law against it is only the organized conspiracy of the United Nations and the political governments who assist in maintaining this conspiracy. "

Here's another:www.equalrights4all.org...

"The Bible speaks of a special plant. "I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more." (Ezekiel 34:29) A healing plant. On either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare 12 manner of fruits, and yielding her fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelations 22:1-2) A gift from God.

How was cannabis used in Biblical times and lands?
Cannabis was used 12 ways: clothing, paper, cord, sails, fishnet, oil, sealant, incense, food, and in ceremony, relaxation and medicine. For so the Lord said unto me, "I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs. For afore harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches." (Isaiah 18:4-5)"

Nowhere in the Bible does it say people cannot grow, possess or smoke cannabis hemp. The only "drug" mentioned in the Bible is Alcohol and it even sings it praises, and only admonishes drinking too much.

Xtians will insist on their own interpretation of the Bible.
Will any of them come on this thread to defend their position?

The holy anointing oil described in Exodus 30:22-25 was created
from 500 shekels (about 6 kg) of myrrh, half as much (about 3 kg)
of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels (about 3 kg) of fragrant cane
(kanabos, variously translated as calamus or cannabis),
500 shekels (about 6kg) of cassia, and a hin (about 4 L) of olive oil.

The oil was used to anoint the vessels of the Tabernacle 30:26
and the High Priest, and is traditionally regarded as the oil
used by prophets to anoint Saul, David, and other kings of ancient Israel.

perhaps this is where the Rastafarian gets their holy smoke idea

Of all the tens of thousands of plants, your teacher selects cannabis as the bad guy. Has your guy heard of any other plants? Just wondering. Personally, I'd avoid belladonna. Or, give it to your enemies and then follow them around as they drop everything in their possession, including their minds.

no... a few people here have gotten me and "my teacher" wrong. Not only did you not read the full writing that I linked to, you've missed my point.

I love cannabis, and I believe Jesus was cannabis (first born) incarnate.

or maybe i'm confused, either way it is confusing because of many years of misinformation on the subject.

Yes that is the only logical conclusion i have reached. Jesus is a plant that people smoke.

on a side note:
It is ironic because the bible also says not to use it, that it was only for him and nobody else.
Exodus 32-33

Upon the flesh of man shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any like it, according to the composition thereof: it is holy, [and] it shall be holy unto you.

Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.
