Someone I know, who has a grudge against me, has obtained access without authorization to my private, personal, privileged, journal writings on my personal computer, which are under implied copyright, I believe, and used my personal e-mail account to forward this material to themselves for the purpose of disseminating said material with the intent to defame and discredit me.

I need any and all caring members to come to my aid in my time of need with information on how to go about prosecuting this person for invasion of privacy and violation of copyright, as well as possibly defamation of character using said means. There is definite intent on behalf of this person to do me harm.

Please help me.

I think I have this situation resolved for the time being. I sent out a follow-up message to the individual responsible for the breach and the intended recipients advising them that the material was private and copyrighted and demanding they remove and destroy all electronic and print copies. I met with a mediator today and I believe my demand was acted upon accordingly.

I am still considering legal action in response to the invasion of privacy and violation of copyright with intent to defame. I would appreciate any input anyone would like to provide.

It is somewhat disconcerting the cold reception this urgent request received. Thanks anyway. I guess I know where I stand around here now, and I can't blame anyone for not responding.
