Israel to probe human shield allegations

JERUSALEM - The Israeli army said Friday that it was looking into new allegations that troops used Palestinians as human shields during an operation in the West Bank city of Nablus.

The Israeli human rights group B'Tselem charged that while conducting a major operation against Palestinian gunmen in the city last week, troops took two minors — a 15-year-old boy and an 11-year old girl — along while they searched houses for militants and weapons, forcing them to enter the houses first.

AP news caught this earlier when a one of thier TV crews filed and adult Palestinian entering apartments ahead of IDF forces in the town of Nablus. The tactic of using civilians for this type of activity was ruled illegal by the Israeli Supreme Court in 2005. The IDF has promised to investigate. If the stories about using children are true, then some heads should roll

They were using a little girl the other day in the same way. Its absolutely despicable what they are getting away with and without any condemnation from our Government whatsoever. Such a good Christian leader we have.

This is sad. They were accusing Hezbollah of doing this, and printing it in the fliers they passed in Lebanon, and now they do it too. Just goes to show how little the IDF cares about the Arab population.
