Comedian Richard Jeni dies at 45

Richard Jeni, a beloved standup comedian who was a regular on the "Tonight Show," died of a gunshot wound Saturday in Los Angeles. He was 45.

Police said yesterday, as reported by the AP, that the comic was found alive but injured after they responded to a call from Jeni's girlfriend that he had shot himself.

RIP and thanks for the laughs. With all the stars having problems lately, we sometimes forget that they are human too and the worst can happen.

It is a sad loss. He was funny as hell.

The question I have is why would he shoot himself in the face? I could see inside the mouth, the temple, or under the chin, but in the face?
